Chapter Two

When the Christian develops a healthy attitude to prayer, he or she is never the same. By seeking the face of the Lord daily in prayer, you come under the abundant blessing of GOD. It will give you understanding that you are not your own. Let us look at some of the blessings that come into the life of a praying Christian.

Your daily prayer will help you get closer to your Bible, the word of GOD which is the Christian’s food. Prayer will help you love JESUS more and more. Prayer will help you to forgive and forget. Prayer will bring peace to your home, your husband, your wife and children. Prayer will draw you closer to GOD and bring humbleness to your soul. Prayer will drive away your fears. Do you know that so many people today live in fear? Some fear that they are going to die or one day, someone is going to kill them or they would come under a curse or might be a victim of a dreadful disease. We must therefore pray everyday. Do not wait until you are going to bed at night or when trouble comes.

JESUS says we should pray for our enemies. This is not easy but we must do as the LORD commands. You know JESUS is Master of Love, He tells us to pray even for those who persecute us. Friends Let us pray for strength to love our enemies. You see, this world is dying without hope. Thousands of people are going to hell because they will not believe to be saved by the LORD…

The Last Minute Provider

Chapter 5

There is a widow woman in the Bible. She came to the end of herself and GOD provided her need. There was a great famine in a town which belongs to Zidon, the name is Zarephath and there was this widow woman which GOD sent to Elijah the prophet to meet. It is she whom GOD would use to feed him.

“So he arose and went to Zarephath and when he came to the gate of the city, behold the widow woman was there gathering of sticks and he called to her and said, Fetch me I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it he called to her and said bring me I pray thee a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the LORD thy GOD liveth, I have not a cake but an handful of meal in a barrel and a little oil in a cruse and behold I am gathering two sticks that I may go and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it and die” 1 Kings 17: 9-2. This widow said, “that we may eat it and die”. Why? Because she came to the end of herself. There was no hope coming from anywhere.

Again she said, this is my last oil that I may use it. In other words, this is my dead end. But GOD said, woman, this is not your dead end. I have got news for you! I have prepared my servant to look after you, to feed you, and your son that you may live.

Christian and dear beloved reader, GOD is telling you, your situation is not hopeless. It can be the last news doctors have given you. GOD is telling you he has already prepared something good for you. “My son JESUS can change your hopeless life for you. I have a good health, and physical strength to live long and worship me; good job to look after your family. I have good news for you, the people who look down upon you, will look up to you. I will let the barren womb conceive a child….
